We provide adequate resources to the school students, parents and to the community members.
LIBRARY
Hulhudhelee School Resource Centre is access to many
varieties of reading materials which includes mainly in four different languages
those are English, Dhivehi Arabic and Urdu and few other language materials
like Japanese, Chinese, Italian and German. Books, magazines, journals, leaflets, dictionaries,
Reference books, collections, archives, encyclopedia, Islamic
religious books and
other materials are available in the School Resource Centre Library.
In the library there are two more different services which
are photo copying and internet services. Internet services are a free service
for the students and teachers but to make a Xerox copy students and other users
except teachers they have to pay according to resource centre rules and
regulations.
The library designed to access easily by the
students, teachers and other users during library hours. Users can sit in the
library where tables and chairs are being kept. In addition library users can
take away books for two weeks according to the rules of the resource centre. The
library environment is a clam and conducive learning environment.
Through the library students nurture a positive
learning culture with their peers.
Audio-Visual Room
We have
a developing collection of over 1570 audio visual materials in the Resource
Centre, the audio-visual room located in the Alifulhulhu Block in Hulhudhlee
School.
The
collection includes audio tapes videos, CDs and DVDs which are relevant for pupils’
development in many areas.
An extensive
diversity of subjects is covered by the collection including productions of National
Institute of Education Republic of Maldives and University of Cambridge English
for Second Language audios and other materials which includes important films
and documentaries, to support courses in the Departments of English, Department
of Science and Business and other topics include language teaching and music. Moreover;
we have included Beautiful Quran Recitations by the Islamic Scholars
In the
music room there are 25 students can accommodate and use at a time with headphones.
Multimedia projector and a 55” Television fixed in the room. Moreover; a smart board
fixed so students activities can monitor ad they can use this expensive
instrument for their learning purposes with the help of teachers.
Computer Lab
We can provide internet access
to the students and teachers in the Resource Centre Computer Lab for 20 at a
time. Our computers are connected with Dhiraagu high speed internet broadband
connectivity.
Teaching Aids Bank (TAB)
Teaching Aids Bank will provide
learning materials and used Teaching Aids. That can be kept to reuse it again
and again so the money can be saved. It is very important to keep teaching aids
in a safe place and can be stored and kept well, as a result teachers’ time and
school money can be saved. Teachers also can renovate these materials.
Different kinds of resources
will be kept it the Bank which includes teaching aids, learning materials,
syllabuses, marking schemes, textbooks.
Teaching Aids Bank provides globs,
maps, models, chemicals and varieties of other resources available.
Music Room
Hulhudhelee
people are very much interested in music, in the past few decades Hulhudhelee
Bandiya a local music with dance was very famous thought the country. Not only
bandiya they are great contributors in Boduberu as well. When people tuned to
Voice of Maldives in the morning, people hear boduberu songs very often which were
composed and created by Hulhelee people.
Still the
islanders are very creative and liked for music hence School Resource Centre
will provide this service to the students.
In the music
room we provide 2 pianos, 6 drums, 4 guitars, trumpet, saxophone and mikes with sound system. Music tracks can be played to sing songs.
Students can compose and record music in the music room of the Resource Centre.
